Thank you for reading! I agree, generalizations are limiting in many ways. I tend to write about “white people” in the same way many feminists write about “men are trash.” Clearly all men are not trash, but the ones that are give everyone else a bad rap, and no one is reining them in. If men want womxn to see men differently, they need a serious rebranding.

I see whiteness in the same way.

Many ‘ethnic white people’ AKA Italians, Spaniards, Ashkenazic Jews, Koreans etc. have grown up with the same type of watch-and-learn hermenuetic but come into Black/BIPOC spaces and still expect a copy of the recipe. Treat it like your gramma’s house!

I always hope that someone will see themselves in my critiques and be moved to self-evaluate. Thanks again for reading and engaging!
