As an American, I too have to deal withholding privilege and marginalization within me at the same time. I don’t understand the caste system in India and how it impacts people, not really. I only know what I have read about it, and to be honest I know I have not read nearly enough.

I’m not going to ask you to educate me on that, it’s not your job. I just want to say thank you for bringing your experience to this conversation. I will read, do more research and learn how to show up better for my international siblings.
